Ricardo Azkargorta Celaya,  Bergara 1958.  A partir de próximo día 3 de mayo the Arteztu Gallery will host the work of the painter Ricardo Azkargorta, in an exhibition entitled Manipulated. This is not the first time that Azkargorta exhibits in Donostia.

In this specific series he offers us a vision of the production of the last 2 years.  Explores the border between abstraction and figuration, being the base of the work the vegetal elements. The treatment and process of the work is fundamental, starting with photography, following it through the computer to finish in the painting. The original image is manipulated and deconstructed until the final result is achieved.

These elements somehow allude to the landscape, a fragmented landscape treated from symbolism, weaving vegetable networks immersed in aqueous environments, veils and transparencies abound.   The subtle use of nuances offers a sensual environment that enlivens the stimuli.

Azkargorta has held numerous solo and group exhibitions.  He also taught painting for twelve years in the Bergara Beart artists' association.
