Workshop Dynamics

 

In this workshop, doubt has its place, as does observing or drawing a line and waiting to see what happens, whether we add something, whether we leave it as is...

 

With little or much weight on our shoulders and a few tools, we will begin this process.

 

 

 

I've developed three introductory exercises that will help us approach the goal of creating, from something or nothing, a t-shirt and a postcard to keep or send to someone.

 

These exercises will welcome the adventure of:

 

repeating, sinking, getting messy, waiting, concentrating, losing something, finding something, stopping, and walking away.

 

 

 

Tools

 

As the workshop leader, I will bring a book, a piece of tablecloth for cutting stars, a fresh flower and a vase, postcards, envelopes, and a few other things to help and inspire us;

 

soft pencil, hard pencil, eraser, markers, crayons, a sketchbook or papers for mixed media, fabric markers, a paintbrush, dye and bleach, a new t-shirt, and an old t-shirt.
